I love basically everything wizard and magic, but you know what I wish we had better of? Comic books. My da sent me a box of his old comics from when he was a teenager, and they are fascinating. Superheroes are like wizards that only have a few powers, but they use them to help muggles...or something like that. There is this magazine called The Eagle that is full of them...my da says America has even better ones but they can't be printed here. I wonder what a wizard comic would be like?
Also, things seem to have quieted down now that it's spring. Does winter just bring out the craziness?

I have a wild idea. Who is up for a polar bear swim in the lake? It might be cold, but all the better for a bit of excitement! And before you start, Head Girl, as far as I can tell the lake isn't forbidden. I think. In any case, we wouldn't be going far or long, but might be something to shake us out of our stupor. Who's with me??

I have to hand it to you-I thought Saoirse was going to murder me last year when I sent her all those flowers for Valentine's day, so at least you got a date out of it. I think it worked out in the end for me.

So we all know my last attempt at adventure was a terrible idea, but I'm not the sort to sit around and twiddle my thumbs. I'd love to do something exciting, that won't land me in detention (especially since I'm currently serving a rather lengthy sentence. I didn't know there were quite so many spells that used lacewings or that sorting them would be quite so mind numbing. Don't get detention from Slughorn if you can prevent it).
I know there are loads of muggle exciting things to do, but I don't really know what they are or if we could do them in or around the castle. What do you think Hogwarts? What can we do to get us out of the castle and away from teenage drama?

Friday the 13th might be a night for pranks for some, but I think I have a few other things in mind...
Warded against stuffy Prefects and Professors, HB/HG
So I talked to Hagrid, seems like tonight might be an excellent night for some late night adventures in the Forbidden Forest.
Some might say, 'But Andy, isn't the Forbidden Forest, well, FORBIDDEN?' I have two responses. One, let's not get too hung up on labels, shall we? Next you'll tell me the Forbidden Hallway is similarly forbidden, and while of course it is, the important part isn't the name of the thing. I mean, I have a barn owl that spends his nights in a castle owlery, we can all defy convention. Second, where is your sense of ADVENTURE?? I think there might be some pretty amazing things you'd be cutting yourself off from with petty little complaints like potential detentions and dying.
All of life is risk, it's just in the MANAGEMENT that we differ. Healthy risk taking is known to create innovation and success, after all.

And THAT, my friends, is how you master exams, and let them not master you. One should be mater of their own domain, or something of that nature. That, or happen to take quite a few classes with no exam. Both of those help, since now I am DONE!
Let the hols begin! Puffs, try not to miss me TOO much. I hate to think of you crying when I'm not around to comfort you.
